What type of information we have
We hold names and email address of members of the Society.
How we get the information and why we do we have it
We collect the information from attendees at the UK/Ireland Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Society Annual Meeting. We ask that meeting attendees indicate if they do not want their contact details to be used for the purposes of becoming a member of the Society. Individuals can also ask to become members of the Society by providing their name and email address using the Contact form on the Society’s website.
If you no longer wish to be a member, please write to the Secretary.
What we do with the information
We use email addresses of members of the Society to send them information that they may find of relevance, such as notifications of jobs, PhD studentships, future scientific meetings, etc. We do not share this information with any third parties.
How we store your information
These are kept on an encrypted server at IOM and are accessible only by the Secretary.
Your data protection rights
We have chosen to process members’ email addresses on the basis of legitimate interest.

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
How to complain
